As the name already suggests, the contrahelix piercing is located opposite the helix of the ear - i.e. in the area between the ear and the face above the tragus. Rook and Daith

The rook piercing is a fairly small hole that is pierced on the inner side of the ear. Due to the hole size, a thin and small earring is particularly suitable. Nevertheless, you can of course follow your own style and taste with the rook piercing.

The flat piercing sits near the helix within the upper crease of the ear. Elongated, round or single-colored piercings with stones look especially great in the form of flat piercings. 

If the hole is made in the lower area of ​​the cartilage above the antitragus, the piercing is the Conch piercing. The conch piercing fits snugly on the outer side of the ear and encloses it, giving the appearance of a ring going around the ear. For this reason, a larger ring should generally be used for conch piercing.
